A website launch is exciting, but a rushed one usually means fixing avoidable problems for months afterward. Here's the list we run through before any site goes live.
Conversion basics
- Every page has a clear call to action above the fold
- Phone number is click-to-call on mobile
- Click-to-call button is visible and easy to tap on mobile
- Contact form sends a confirmation and notifies the right inbox
Technical checks
- Site loads in under 3 seconds on mobile
- All pages are indexed correctly, with no accidental "noindex" tags
- SSL certificate is active and the site loads on https
- 301 redirects are set up if you're replacing an old site
Tracking
- Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager are installed
- Form submissions and phone-call clicks are tracked as conversions
- Google Search Console is verified and the sitemap is submitted
- A backup and staging process is in place before future changes
Missing even a few of these is common — and usually invisible until it costs you an enquiry. Worth a 10-minute check before you flip the switch.
